Cro Care

We are looking for experienced Personal Care Assistants to join our growing team at our brand-new aged care home in Geelong. Our current vacancies would suit candidates who are available and flexible to work shifts over the full 24/7 working week.

The Role

In this role, you will be providing person centred care and support to the resident according to their individual care plans, ensuring dignity, safety and security. You will support the clinical and lifestyle teams to allow residents to live the lives they value.

How can I tell if this is for me?

Responsibilities will include:

• Delivering the best possible care to our residents (ensuring wellbeing and comfort).
• Supporting with daily living tasks (showering, meals etc).
• Manual handling.
• Following direction from the Registered Nurse/s and managers.

What you need:

• Minimum qualification of Certificate Level III in Individual Support (Aged Care) or equivalent.
• Previous experience in a residential aged care environment.
• Proven understanding of and ability to support compliance with Aged Care Standards, Food Safety and other professional and legislative requirements.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a diverse range of clients.
• Ability to work collaboratively with in a diverse multicultural workforce and client base.
• Outstanding time management skills, ability to manage priorities and schedule to achieve outcomes.
• Understanding of workplace OH&S principles.
• Ability to speak Croatian is essential.
• A current police check or the ability to obtain.
• Proof of the right to work lawfully in Australia.
• Evidence that you have had the 2020 Flu Vaccination or willingness to complete this before employment can be offered*
