The Role

You will be responsible for the provision of clinical care in accordance with legislation and practice within a professional framework. This position works under the supervision of the Registered Nurse and requires relevant knowledge, skills and understanding, ability to administer medications and provide supervision of care staff in accordance with the Mission and Values of Cro Care and appropriate contemporary nursing standards and competencies.

Responsibilities will include:

• Ability to lead and work as part of an effective team
• Taking active involvement in the intake of new residents to the facility, ensuring they and their families understand their rights and responsibilities as well as Cro Care’s responsibilities and obligations; and
• Positive attitude and adaptable to change within an evolving service
• Excellent assessment, communication, and time management skills
• Ability to work efficiently, autonomously and respectfully within the team
• Flexibility with working hours, including night duty

What you need:

• Current AHPRA Registration with no restrictions
• Experience in a similar role, including caring for residents with advanced dementia
• Ideally you will have previous experience within an aged care setting as an Enrolled or Registered Nurse.
• An organised and empathetic approach to clinical care
• Proven communication skills with the ability to relate effectively with all levels of the organisation.
• Understanding of Aged Care Legislation and Aged Care Quality Standards.
• Ability to speak Croatian is essential
• A current police check or the ability to obtain.
• Proof of the right to work lawfully in Australia.
• Evidence that you have had the 2020 Flu Vaccination or willingness to complete this before employment can be offered*

IMPORTANT All aged care workers must be vaccinated against seasonal influenza and will be required to have received at least one dose of a COVID vaccination by 17 September 2021.
