We are looking for experienced Registered Nurse’s to join our growing team at our brand-new aged care home in Geelong.

The Role

As the Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for providing direct care and nursing services consistent with recognised nursing practices and procedures. We offer a supportive team, salary packaging and opportunities for ongoing education.

Responsibilities will include:

• Reporting to our Care Manager you will oversee, lead, and support comprehensive care in accordance with the individual needs of consumers, to consistently deliver safe, quality consumer centered care.
• Implement, assess, plan, and evaluate consumers care plans on an on-going basis and ensure compliance to the Aged Care legislation and Accreditation Standards.
• Consult with Consumers and their families to ensure safe, high quality care

What you need:

• Current Registered Nurse registration with AHPRA
• 3 years or greater experience in residential aged care
• Proven communication skills with the ability to relate effectively with all levels of the organisation.
• Knowledge of contemporary care practices with a focus on dementia support and palliative care
• Understanding of Aged Care Legislation and Aged Care Quality Standards
• Solid understanding of the Aged Care Accreditation process
• Able to speak Croatian is essential
• A current police check or the ability to obtain.
• Proof of the right to work lawfully in Australia.
• Evidence that you have had the 2020 Flu Vaccination or willingness to complete this before employment can be offered.
